Od roku 2008 pomáhají brněnští Brontosauři s rozvojem školy ležící ve vesnici Mulbekh v severní Indii. Pravidelně tam jezdí čeští dobrovolníci učit děti nebo školit učitele, odborně asistovat při zpracování plánů rozvoje školy (stavební, akademický, právní struktury atd.). Díky charitativním akcím v Česku přispěli Brontosauři 1 milion korun na stavbu nového školního internátu.
Na podzim roku 2010 navštívil školu 14. Dalajláma a na začátku léta 2011 si pozval zástupce komunity v Mulbekhu a Brontosaury na audienci do paláce jeho exilové vlády v Dharamsale. „Dalajlámovi jsme představili současnost a plány rozvoje školy v Mulbehu a on se rozhodl projekt podpořit darem 550 tisíc korun ročně“ říká koordinátor projektu Brontosauři v Himálajích Ing. Jiří Sázel.
„Je to pro nás velká čest získat podporu přímo od našeho největšího duchovního vůdce; myslím, že můžu mluvit za všechny z naší vesnice“ zhodnotil své dojmy ředitel školy v Mulbekhu Tsewang Norboo. „Peníze využijeme v průběhu dalších let na platy a školení učitelů, na dostavbu internátu a taky na stavbu nových tříd prvního stupně.“

Parks Canada officials are investigating why a series of five houses in the same lot were abandoned after a developer bought them.
One house that went out of commission last year, on a plot that once housed the Ottawa Golf and Country Club, was found by Parks Canada to be in need of repair. The other nine had been left to rot and rot, Parks Canada officials said.
In all, four of these nine houses, built over an 18-year period, were put up for sale. A third, sold as a second home by a developer in 2009 and a fourth by a realtor in 2011, ended up becoming a rental home, along with two bungalow units on the grounds of their owner.

According to a listing on property transfer website RealestateAgent.com, the property was bought for $1,000 per unit by the man who just sold his bungalow unit. The property was bought by two companies who then offered it for sale, one of whom was called Bona Vista.
Property transfers are the process of transferring property from one owner to another. One company, in this case, is calling itself Bona Vista Condos.
All of the sales at these bungalow lots are from the late 1990s. The lots were listed for sale last year for $3,750 a unit, after being worth much less than that when they were put up.
On Friday, a Parks Canada officer visited the houses to investigate. No one answered the door and the person who answered the door was not answering anyone else's calls.
A Parks Canada representative said the agency does not comment on individual property or individual transactions until an investigation has completed.

"For the first time since Obamacare came into effect, we're facing a serious and severe health care crisis in our state," he said. "Our nation has fallen behind other advanced nations in its ability to create, sustain, and maintain a health care system that provides health care for its residents, the disabled, and the elderly. Florida is behind on health care. Our insurance, our insurance system, is broken."
Republicans in Florida have largely held up an ambitious bill — which includes several key components from Obamacare — as a chance to get their legislative priorities passed this session but acknowledge that it has failed to gain any traction in their chamber of power.
Republicans last year rejected a two-year Medicaid freeze for the state; the Democrats have since followed suit. Republicans now control only 51 of Florida's 85 state Senate districts.

Despite this rejection, in 2006 the Commissioners again granted a second request to construct two levees to keep tidal flooding from destroying the bay (see figure 2). In 2007, at a time when Louisiana's population of approximately 10.2 million was surging and population projections continued to grow, the Board of Supervisors approved two additional shallow levees in Shoalwater Bay, on both sides of the Louisiana River, to protect levees, shorelines, and property interests. The bay of Shoalwater Bay would have been flooded by the planned expansion, while the bay on the US side would be protected. The first levee, which is approximately 300 feet across, was established at 8:15 AM on July 30, 2008. The second levee, built on July 21, 2007, was approximately 900 feet wide.
Because the Shoalwater Bay and Louisiana Bay of the St. Landry-Bossier region have unique geographic circumstances, the Louisiana Coastal Commission (LCC) (a local public utility system) has developed a detailed map of the three levees. The project also includes additional detailed information about the proposed developments, including a section on proposed easements and locations.
