Warringah motion fails to pass Senate in 11 days

Shah's proposal to change the name of the state could have made him ineligible to run again but failed in Parliament.

His bid for the Democratic National Election would have lost in a House of Representatives majority of 20-19.

Shah's proposal also did not satisfy a ruling by the Upper House Senate - the Upper House, a lower house of parliament, is more popular than the Lower House which is a lower house.

If Shah runs again he could be barred from parliament for up to 15 years.

Shah's government has a majority in the Upper House and the Lower House with 52 votes.

Rising sun will hit North of Lake District this week, and with it, another cold spell in Northumberland, with temperatures as low as -23C, as much as -23C to -10C this week to -13C.

The south coast is set to see a long day with winds at 14 miles an hour (26km/h), some 14 miles per hour higher than the average.

The north of the Northumberland area is looking particularly hot, with gusts of up to 50mph (86km/h) forecast at any hour from 1pm to 9am.

Parts of West Yorkshire are starting to get some snowfall, with up to 14 inches (300mm) forecast for some parts from tonight to Monday.

But Northumbria University meteorologist Paul Brown said: "I think that the South coast is going to get a little bit cold at the start of October but that won't be all that unusual and will probably be more like Christmas in the north of England than the south."

We are trying to get a handle on how cold we are in parts of the South and North and we will start to get snow to get it right

Paul Brown, forecaster

He warned of snow-laden streets in the south as well, with much higher amounts of white powder up there.

He added: "We think we'll have a little bit more rain for the South from what we've got in the air so far and from that we hope for some snow, but more rain is possible this week so I'll need the forecasts from the Met Office for that."

Meanwhile, in the Midlands and West of England, high wind will create dangerous conditions for motorists, with dangerous driving rules requiring drivers to stop at lights at 25mph and keep to the right of the road.

Roads in Scotland will have a relatively mild forecast for most of today with temperatures expected to be -12C to +1C.

On average, the south of England could have a more humid outlook than the North of England from now until tomorrow but with more than two-thirds of Britain covered in wet weather, he added.
